I've been hiding these for a while but I'll share it now.
We've been looking for anatomy books for a long time while these things were hidden online since forever.
These are references and exercises for figure drawing.
-Figure and gesture drawing practice

-Muscle anatomy references

-Model pose references

-3D pose referencesDon't worry about the first impression, click the side buttons and it creates other models ;)

To prevent this thread from sinking, let's change some things.
Let's start with artist interviews. When posting interviews, please post by batches, and by that I mean post all the interviews for one artist in one reply to prevent cluttering.
I'll start with one of my main inspirations Hyung-Tae Kim (Apparently married to kkuem)
1st
2nd
3rd
4th
5th

I'd appreciate some kantoku and redjuice myself....

haha sorry for the length

WHY I CAME
I came to yandere for the same reason animefan did, the scans for those books.
I was looking for the books in my ongoing quest for references to build my visual library

WHERE I CAME FROM
I've battled with procrastination most my life. I've only recently in life have gotten a much better grip on it due to some wake up calls I've gotten.

WHAT I WANT TO DO
I want to do Animations, Illustrations, and Manga. Where I primarily get my money from has yet to be decided. However I love them all to much to simply JUST do ONE.
I also want to dabble with Ecchi and Hentai.

WHAT I WANT OUT OF MY WORK
I really want to get extremely fast. There is so much stuff I want to draw for myself and money to be had and what not for me to draw anything but godspeed. I also want to get a very high caliber work that is very tightly drawn and refined. I really like variety. I hate copy and pasted faces and clothes. Real life is full of variations, so I believe my drawings should have the same as well.

ARTISTS I LIKE
1. I really like Hiro Mashima (author of Rave and Fairy Tail)I love his style as well as all the outfits he put his characters in through out the story as well as for independant illustrations. He is also really really fast at drawing.
  • his twitter account is amusing too.
2. Yuumei for her great use of colors and interesting pieces
3. Yuuki Hagure for his extremely tight drawings and super crisp coloring.
4. Fuji Choko for his extravagant illustrations that are just so detailed as well, wide variety of colors in every piece and his cute girls.
I have many others, but those have been my favorites for quite a while and are a pretty diverse.

SOFTWARE
Primarily Mischief and Clip Studio Paint Ex
Mischief for sketch and draw without constraint. I also use it to set up my pictures a lot of the time because I can just focus on what I'm drawing and not the constraints of the canvas

Clip Studio Paint Ex. It does pretty much everything I want in a program. It's almost absolutely perfect. The only thing i want is for opacity to be able to be controlled with pressure, thats it.

Notable mention to autodesk Sketchbook. It really has some of the absolute most intuitive features I could ask for. I'll probably adopt it for the flipbook feature it has.

MISCELLANIOUS
I really like to listen to J-pop and Rap. I found I do best when I don't listen to music period. For me it really makes where I can't properly visualize my thoughts in my head. The only exception is orchestra/classical music but even sometimes that screws it up.

I really want to find a nice small group of artists to help and be helped improving.

ah and I don't know if this a good thread to share this, but this really peaked my interest because I see it as a tool for so many things in increasing production time for animation and a whole lot more

http://www.live2d.com/en/download

I recommend youtube to get a good idea what it's so far capable of. It's quite impressive to me.
Oh hello.
If you want to each either ecchi or hentai, based on your preferences ecchi should be more fitting.
Either way anatomy should be your biggest focus along with facial expressions. Also try to study some fantasy illustrations as well.
I don't really like FT but Hiro's account is pretty funny, as I follow it since like year.

I like traditional so no opinion I can give about the software except that I'e seen some pretty amazing things come from SAI, Photoshop and CLIP STUDIO.

Ah I found out about live 2d last year and i thought it was amazing as well!! I followed it since and I am glad that they got it to turn 360.
The only problem is the hair though, as the splitting and flowing with the wind effects are kind of hard to reproduce without having it look like spaghetti.
I'd love to see it used in a game like Peria Chronicles though.

Oh yeah, this sums up variety and refined work:

Follow the entire process I recommend.
clip studio paint wasnt cracked yet *shrugs*
yes im poor throw stones at me

holy fucking shit miwa shirow. thank you very very much dear
Whoa Miwa Shirow is pretty awesome. I like a lot of his stuff even his male characters are awesome.

I did see some familiar pictures that I liked, I just didn't know who did them
That and I came across Takehiko Inoue as well.

really appreciate the video, It was neat to watch ( too bad I don't understand Japanese)

Yeah anatomy is the biggest thing I want to learn. I'm not the worst at it but I'm not very good at it either. I struggle at a lot of angles due to the lack of knowledge of anatomy. Not to mention its super important if you want to draw alluring girls.

@Debbie yeah there are no cracked versions I know of. You could go to eddie sekiguchi website and get Illustudio. They are very similar. If not I'd save up that 60$ it' well worth every single cent.

I'll start posting some good resources if I come across / remember any.

That's my playlist I'm updating it at least weekly. I only have anime songs in it.
I put a lot of singles and I'm adding mixes in it. 6 of the mixes should last you at least 9 hrs of playtime :D

A cool guy that gives some great art tutorials. I post this one because I think he is one of the lesser known guys on youtube. He has his own comic and also works for Riot Games as well.

great art vid. He is a great teacher, too bad I think his channel is not going to get anymore updates. I could be wrong. ( I hope I am)
So it's been another year, I wonder how is everyone doing.

I threw my year's worth of painting into a small compilation:

looks at thoose , make me wanna cry lol
It's OK, everyone can feel unmotivated from time to time.

However, I am also aware of a few aspiring professionals who have committed serious resources (attending full-time school, etc.), to show no improvement or very low level of motivation over extended periods. Such condition is pretty concerning, especially in one's twenties, when every year counts. If you leave vocational school near 30 with no real prospect as a professional, you are lining yourself up for some trouble.

Maybe just one advice: It's OK to approach art with any attitude; It is even valid to use art as an escape from troubles in life, to think you can fix your life once you finally grasp your dream. However, if this is the case, you'd need to get really serious, and remind yourself what is at stake whenever you don't feel like drawing.

A vague dream can be cozy, shielding you from real problems; However, an inevitable rude awakening would eventually come if you don't make actual progress.
I don't have any confident , please don't laugh http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=54483692 everything this day really complicated..it's difficult to think very simple like back then.
