Mechanical Vs Wooded Pencils
Which of the two do you prefer to draw with?

I prefer mechanical. They are always sharp and it gives me more precision. The way you put led in feels so good (^~^) , and some of them already come with comfortable grip holders.

It truly depends on what you're aiming for:
Sketching : Mechanical (thin, well defined lines)
Lineart : Both (again, depends what you're aiming for, either thick or thin)
Shading : Wooden ( Just takes less time generaly)
Crosshatching : Mechanical ( Does this need Explaining!?)

Anyways, you can take these kinds of questions to either:

Hope this helped!

some people manually sharpen their pencils with a cutter to have it in a specific shape for different purposes...

something a mechanical pencil lacks... although i shade my drawings line per line with a mechanical pencil... it takes more time... but that is the part i enjoy when i draw...
