May I ask why people insist on leaving the tagme tag on images that have their artists tagged and copyrights/characters if possible, from what I know and have been told tagme is used mostly for finding artists so once you have added the artist, remove tagme, no?

It's safe for you to remove it.

And sometimes people still leave "tagme" on artist-tagged posts because they missed too many obvious tags.
