Recently, biggest uploader decided to stop uploading here and main index started to look a bit empty. I thought 'I guess I can help with that' and decided to upload some posts while properly tagging them from the beginning and also HOLD all of them. Now, at this point I remembered that on this site it is stated somewhere that one should upload to main index only 10 posts at once and wait some time before doing so again and so I did. I proceed to active 10 posts, waited for more than 4 hours and activate around 5 more posts. To add, there were some posts by other in that time span. Now, imagine my surprise when next time I log in I see that I got negative record for breaking posting rules. At that moment, I decide to double check posting rules only to come to conclusion that I can't find that info on the wiki (where it obviously should be), specifically at howto:upload or howto:hold. After spending around 10 minutes more I find out that rules I was searching are written as forum page for some reason. Again, I spent 10 minutes to find some rules when said rules should clearly be stated on related howto guide.

Now, this post would be just thought in my head if that happened for the first time. In the past, I uploaded some posts, HOLD them and what seems to be like forgot to add 'loli' tag (https://yande.re/post/show/1209503). I agree that this post actually needs that tag BUT really? There a lot of missing 'loli' tags on this site for images depicting far more explicit content and yet one I HOLD receives negative score instead of, I don't know notice of some sort? I can understand if I released that post to main index without 'loli' tag but negative score for post that still on hold? That just kills the spirit of websites like this where collaborative work should be encouraged instead

tl;dr moderation of this site punishes you for any good action you try to do instead of helping

The more the number of images released each time, the longer the time interval between two certain releases should be. For example, if a batch of 10 Posts (the maximum allowed amount) is released, please wait for at least 6 hours to release the next batch.

By the way, I don't quite agree with the view that negative records are equivalent to punishment. Users will not suffer any loss due to receiving a negative record. When you receive a negative record, just pay attention to what the record says.

I know your feeling, FutureTribute. My solution, upload 8-10 images every 8 hours. Or unheld 4-5 post every morning. At that time, there was a long gap between your posts on main index.

Believe it or not, the meaning of “spam main index” is varies between users. Also, howto:hold was originally used for posts in the pool, but now we can use hold for any post. If we are no longer allowed to use the hold function and it is only used for pool uploads, forum #34255 and forum #34525 become pointless.

Were some accounts pirated, lately?
