Also helped myself to clean lint and scratches, and slightly blurred the interlacing. I know there are a lot of image purists out there, please don't be too upset for changing the original too much!

if you don't like the black borders I think it's better to just cut them instead of replace them with pure black..lol

Nice work! Yeah I'd say you are okay to go ahead and crop the bars, too!
