People need to stop uploading pics that are over 10 MBs in size and try to condense them a little.

Infranview is a shitty tool for that sort of thing.

Or rather, more like over 5 MBs in size when they're compressed to JPEGs without any loss in coloring.

Shit adds up when you browse Moe Imouto on the daily basis.

just save preview images they have just the quality you want

We have sample images for browsing. JPEGs are lossy, even at max quality. Don't tell people to stop uploading high-quality images on a board dedicated to it.

I've seen people compress larger pics by quiet a bit with the only differences that I could find being that they pixelated more if you tried to make them larger.

With scans as big as Moe Imouto's, that obviously would be a problem.

Sorry, that doesn't make any sense.

also downloading 20mb pics is no prob, if you download with more than 1mb/s

I don't see the issue with such size. Is it that much of a hassle to simply download and convert file type? A jpeg at max setting at 600dpi size is a good 8mb+ already. At 70% it doesn't get more than 15% in file size reduction and anything past that, quality does a dramatic drop.
