Her name in the book is Venis not Benisu. Did her name change in the anime? I don't care either way I just noticed it was changed

It's definitely Benisu in the anime, but for all I know it's simply a matter of how it was romanized.

What you mean is that whoever subbed the anime just romanized it directly with no thought about what the word actually represented. The Japanese have to work with their own specific alphabet when constructing english or other foreign loan words, that doesn't mean we need to do the same.

Anyway, べにす = Venice.
