Writing two months in one paper to save material, I have seen this trick in some early 70~80s calendar in those years.

For whatever reason, it seems to be incredibly common for Japanese calendars, especilally if they're larger than the ones that we typically see in the US. Most of the ones at jlist.com have 8 pages (6 for the months, plus 1 for the cover, and 1 extra), but a lot of them are also very large - much larger than your typical US calendar. I still wish that they'd do one month at a time, but maybe they figured that the calendars would be too expensive that way (they're already quite expensive as they are).
