There's a grayish area, affecting all of the colors (look for horizontal transition lines at approx. 1/6th of image height both from the top and bottom. There's also a same transition on the right side).It's as if someone made adjustments but only a selection got affected instead of the whole image.

Hard to believe a printed book would have such fault, but I have no way of confirming.

(scanning_dust is justified by itself, the tag wasn't used to denote the issue described above)
