how many pools created in this year?
:D
A lot of it is due to us having a lot more active members. That is good.
There's a lot of pools since 2009. A good 8 1/2 pages of pools.

But many of them are incomplete. More people know how to use pools but they don't know what to put in it.

I know there's 2 ways to add images to pools, but I've really never tried the other one. So I tag all of mine with the pool name as a tag and import them that way. I still have yet to try the other method.

Another important thing to pool is that when the image are posted and aren't pooled. They become lost in the sea of overflowing image uploads to moe and they are lost. I think this is one of the issues with pools, since I lost some images to pool cause of this. Especially those pools that are partially completed or can be completed but aren't finished cause images are forgotten.
it's too much trouble to replace the unfixed one by the fixed. I must unpool the old one, and remember the order number, then put the fixed one in, and last order the fixed one....

Just P/C them. The parent picture will show up in the pool in place of the child.
Load the old post, get the pool number (mouseover the URL) and the order number, then upload your fix with eg. "pool:123:10" to add it to pool 123 as #10, then remove the old one.

Alternately, upload the post normally and parent it, so it'll show up in the pool dynamically. Then you can get the pool number and order from the post itself at the top, and use the same pool tag in the edit box below.
Thanks. I knew the pool page will show the parents of this pool's member but sometimes we need to directly put the fixed one into the pool.

And the metatag "pool:ID:order" is very helpful ^^
Although I knew it before, but I didn't know the order is also a parameter of it.
By the way, would somebody please give me an example how to search images excluding members of a certain pool? like "furukawa_nagisa -pool:266" (this doesn't work though)
If we use Pool: 322 which is the "Clannad 2009 Calendar" and use the tag search keyword of

  • pool:322 -furukawa_nagisa *
as an example, which it does work. But for this example we're searching for a pool and excluding the nagisa tag.

Tags doesn't matter in which order you place them.

ex. pool:322 -fujibayashi_kyou -fujibayashi_ryou

This is the same pool, excluding kyou and ryou. The initial tag search you can randomly add tags where ever you want and the system will automatically reorganized the tag afterward to the Pool first anyway. I'm not exactly sure which goes which, such as character tag, artist tag, circle tag. But the order shouldn't matter.

Just don't add a space between your dashes and you tag on accident since that is an improper tag and will not search it. If your looking for addition, it's best to search through more vague tag such as maybe Anime title, since usually any combination of tag of 2 or more will result in no searches. Since I was using more specific tags rather than the article tags like "thighhighs or pantsu."

My ex. - pool:379 fate/stay_night kousaka_tamaki (why? cause, she don't exist in fate stay night ^^)
Thanks, the pool 379 example worked well: your string returned nothing because the only resulting image does not belong to pool 379, and removing the space after the dash returned 1 result.

But I still have problems: "-pool:266 sakagami_tomoyo" this string still returns pool 266 members (around page 5)...

Am I still doing anything wrong?
The problem is simple: "pool:ID" works, but "-pool:ID" doesn't.

And I think aioe's ex. can show us nothing :-(
When we search "- pool:379 fate/stay_night kousaka_tamaki" we got nothing, just because this is noboby have a tag called "-"...
When we remove the space, use "-pool:379 fate/stay_night kousaka_tamaki" we got one just because the part "fate/stay_night kousaka_tamaki", the "-pool:379" part is useless.
There's no "-pool" search. I'll see if it's fast enough to add one...

Thanks for the attention. Official fanbook pages that only contain text also get tagged with copyright tags, which is often unwanted. This is why I wanted that feature...
I want it too, i just want to hide all posts which belong to pools, because I will check them at /pool webpage later.
