Guro is a Japanese term derived from the English word “grotesque”. It is a genre of art dealing with themes of gore, mutilation, disfigurement, and extreme violence.

Guro does NOT simply refer to violent or bloody imagery, but in fact *_EXTREME GRAPHIC violence_*. Do not use this tag for images where the blood tag would suffice.

All images tagged with guro should at least be rated questionable. Explicit may be necessary for more violent images and the extreme content tag for the most extreme cases. Consider hiding the image if it counts as extreme content.
