Users can set an avatar from an existing post; click "Set Avatar" on the post page. Clicking someone's avatar brings you to the post it's from.

There is no avatar blacklisting. Keep the avatars reasonably clean; rating:q is probably fine. (You can use any image as source, though.)

Explicit avatars will be changed by mods so that the explicit part of the image is not visible in the avatar. Changing your avatar multiple times so that it is explicit will result in punishment.
