A sport, formally called "association football" and commonly known as simply "football," except in English speaking countries that have a prevalent competing football sport (United States, Canada, Australia, and Ireland). It is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players using a spherical ball.

The object of the game is to score by driving the ball into the opposing goal.
