StardustKnight said: I wanted to know how scans that are A2 sized are scanned, since I want to scan some calendars and posters that are just too big to scan well without causing crease marks. I was also thinking about buying a portable scanner to avoid having the issue of crease marks and be able to stitch less portions of a scan, so I would like any opinion/help about this issue. Also Is the scan area just 8.5" x 11.7" on the Epson perfection scanners.
Any thing scanned that is bigger than your scanner's Maximum Read Area, you will simply and will only be able to scan it by scanning it in sections. And yes, that is the max normal scan area. So you'll have to scan your A2 poster a minimal of 10x, probably 12 so you have some overlaps.
