What to Add?
I was wondering is there a preference of anime to be added, looked for and included in this site? What are the requirements for submitting an image as far as size and dpi?
Mainly high res stuff is ok. Follow the general trend and you'll be fine
So if I scanned stuff in from Newtype for Onegai Teacher and added high res stuff of some of the images I found and so forth, that would be cool? What about images from Neon Genesis or Slayers, or Devil Hunter Yoko or even Aika artbook and Sailor Moon?
Hmm whatever fits I guess, not sure if others object to it
Just make sure if it's a duplicate, add the duplicate tag on them. For me if I do find a duplicate and it's not tagged as such, I find the best quality one x highest res one and tagged the other as duplicates. Since explicit post are allowed, anything is legal. Just be sure to check the quality of the scan too. Really grainy ones, plus check for the moire effect so we don't get slightly altered colors everywhere. Also, if possible, I would recommend you save them as PNG format, so you have decent quality and you don't get too much jpeg artifacts.
Always double-check the quality of the scan!

My pet hate is bleed-through. Use some black craft paper behind the scan to avoid this.

Use the GIMP or other image manipulation package to tidy up minor imperfections. Don't attempt major image restoration until you are familiar with the tools.

Have a look at the scans uploaded by admin2 to see what a ideal scan is.
Cool. I'll add some of those as soon as I can find them and scan some of them.

Goodness knows when that'll be.
Can you give me an idea as to what type of scanning devices you all use? I've got a really nice HP flatbed scanner. I thought about using a camera for some images, but not for sure what type of settings to use on it to make the best images. Can someone give me an idea?

Never use a camera.
Well, I guess that means my wall scroll is out.

I've never seen a GOOD photograph in comparison to a scan.

Very true. Photos are better for realistic photos.

It can be done, just most digital camera's aren't up to the task.
