hi, i have some artbooks and i would like to add them but idk how set my scanner im using a hp scanjet 300, i cheked a older post saying "png" at 1200dpi ect, but my file ended at 300+mb and it didnt look way diferent as 400dpi (jpg) ended at 50mb , so any basic advices
There are other guides buried in the forum. Someone ought to pin them.

No, you don't need 1200dpi. We mostly release our scans at 300dpi and scan them at about 450dpi (you can directly scan at 300dpi too, the difference is subtle). Anything passing 600dpi is hardly meaningful.

Using png or tiff (lossless format) is a good practice though.
