I do not believe it is needed to distinguish b/t a lesser version of it, if the meaning is the same.
Even though the meanings are generally the same, many people have been using s-ai instead of yuri/yaoi for usual romance genre, and the latter for more explicit ones. Since that's the easier way to say it and gives a good idea of the content than saying "oh, I read this yaoi manga before and it's go-", then you got people saying you're a -if you're a male- weirdo because it's yaoi, rather than shounen-ai.
But if it is deemed that extra tags aren't necessary, then I guess that's fine. As long as there is a clear guideline on discerning which is which.

This is fine, but "sexy poses" is a bit vague and subjective.
No it isn't. "Sexy poses" means "poses that are sexual in nature." Basically if it's implying anything dirty it counts.Silvance said:

Poses which are sexual for one person might not be so for others. It is subjective, although many taggings are done subjectively, too, so I don't have much to say about subjectivity.Shizashi said:

About vague, I meant it just needs something to emphasize along with it. With one or two activity included in the description that can be considered "sexual".
Which is why I said it's fine.
The tagging for rating:s yuri could well be subjective. rating:q yuri and rating:e yuri images will hopefully be more objective.

I am sincerely sorry if this is out of line but, I hope that question is rhetorical, I mean that seems like a fork-nighterRadioactive said:

yaoi also means shounen-ai, yuri also means shoujo-ai basically.
just only people who hate to use words contain sexual meanings are using shounen-ai or shoujo-ai instead.
