Is new user signup disabled or not? There are still new accounts being created all the time
If I go to "signup", I got 403 (so do some other people), and IIRC checkmate implied he disabled it before to battle against spam and vandalism.

But there are apparently plenty of new users registering just fine based on this list: https://yande.re/user

Could the admin explain the current situation a little bit?

It was, since 11th November last year. I was the one insisted Checkmate on re-enabling it. It seems to be closed back since six days ago now.
