Thanks for repairing my memory. I remember playing a Mech game long ago but couldn't remember the name. I've played MechAssault and MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf [MA2LW]. I loved them...but no longer have them.
Those two games were hard on later levels.........Spoiler of a memory I hadespecially that last boss with the skull head on MA22LW (That thing DID have a skull head right? My memory may be a bit off). He angered me so much when facing him and failing on him until I finally beat him.
Those were my first two games in the Mech category. Haven't played a Mech game since.
Kyoushiro, you haven't mentioned Armored Core which I heard about at times back then. I haven't played any of its series. I heard you can customize your own Mech with parts and color and such.
Since you didn't mentioned it, I assume it isn't a Mech Game or a good Mech game?
