The time limit is too hard, you can't download big files so it's kinda pointless right now. Maybe with 10mbit I would be able to load it fast enough =.=

So guess ill have to use getright now :/
So what the hell do you want me to do then?
raise dir change limit?
what was problem before again?
right now, even MT/AP are more comfortably browsable than moe/danbo ...
At least you can see what you could dl...

The problem is using too much bandwidth, how many times do I have to say it? I can see images fine when I download them from the site, try clicking on the star?
nonregged users cant access page=2 onwards , so this didnt save any traffic at all?!admin2 said:

downloading works if im logged in, unlogged i cant see anything with ffox on first page!
downloading pics only works via star
visiting the real page, ffox immediately hides images...
thumbs arent loaded as far as i can see, but once logged in, logged off, they -of course- stay in browser cache
btw. happy new years...
brb ~15ish mins
1) Registration is open to all, makes a very little dent in bw savings
2) Download works for me on IE and FF unlogged in
3) I open the image in real page on IE and FF and it loads for me
until I see other responses I'm ignoring your complaints
I'm really tired of hearing complaints when all I'm trying to keep this site different from all other Anime scan sites.
If you don't like it GTFO

MDGeist, I'm pretty sure what you're seeing is the result of an IE cache issue.
By the way, I just tested on several different platforms. It seems to be specific to your setup/caching methods. I recommend a cache flush and a good dose of vodka.
In reply to both yours and Shuugo's comment about the file transfer getting interrupted mid-way---I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I did a cursory inspection of the code and from what it looks, the file handle is opened and lighttpd could care less about whether the hash is changing or not _for the duration of the transfer_. Which is to say, don't multithread or else you'll probably get screwed over. Just open one connection and it's almost guaranteed to work.
I've raised the time limit to hash expiry to 300 seconds.

im using ffox, so how can it be an IE cache issue ?

perl-booru and other on-the-like programs don't identify themselves for now so hiding images would be enough to defeat those for now, but I guess it's right to do it even harder because that would be temporal. Although nothing lasts forever.
Happy new year everybody btw
EDIT: what I said it's not entirely correct, perl-booru parses the thumbs url and generates with it the full-urls, so maybe something like a script that reads the image instead of delivering it directly. And that script check if it's logged in or not

Well, looks like the problem MDGeist described earlier hit me, debugging..

Verzeihung, ich kann Deutsch nicht verstanden. Köennen Sie auf Englisch sprechen, bitte?
I can only download 3 images at the same time now. Is that correct?
Its temporary for a few days.
Issue with unregistered not seeing posts is fixed, memcached was expiring cached pages too late so I've disabled it for now.

Somehow I get many Error while loading page (or something like that, don't know what FF would say in english). And trafficproblems, do you limit the bandwith per user? Or is the cable to my country at its limit?
Its back to 5 connections per ip
ghostwriter, we're not limiting bw per country yet.

I'm having problems approving/deleting from the posts moderate screen today. For example, I select the image and try to delete it, and I get prompted for the reason I want to delete it but nothing happens.
I had to actually go into the post to delete it...

Deleting posts works, you have to put in a reason.
I did. When some more things turn up in the mod screen, I'll test it,admin2 said:

Guests cannot revert tags for now., reason being anonymous users were reverting tags without reason and most were from China/Japan who probably can't read English.
Unregistered can now view whole site without registration.
Anti hotlinking disabled since no one can get the images without a proper url anyways, now previews will show up in google reader or other rss programs
Oh so that's why they didn't? That makes sense. And yay, this is a nice improvement, thanks.admin2 said: Anti hotlinking disabled since no one can get the images without a proper url anyways, now previews will show up in google reader or other rss programs
Little feature I added that will help automate uploads
http://moe.imouto.org/post/upload?url=url_goes_here&tag=tags_go_here and seperate_them_with_spaces&parent=1234
Hopefully the auto formatting doesn't mess it up
Any URL in the source box for uploads gets blanked out after upload.

The two 'testing' ones are still showing in the atom feed.admin2 said:

Japan's limited to 50kb/s per IP. No other limitations are in place, if you're having slow speeds to the server blame your routing.
