I thought of using google map's interface idea of click+drag to navigate huge images with selective loading but I never really looked in to how to implement it.
HD space is cheap, bandwidth is cheap, in the near future we're moving to a gbit line over in europe instead of being hosted in states (expensive and makes me liable for copyright infringement)
I'm not sure what others think though. I use the resize option quite often to be honest so I can take a quick look.
The other problem I can see is that we'll be making more images of the same things so more chances of duping and such
