No, not particularly. Not sure what you mean either to be honest.
The tweak in colour balance which was mostly in red channel might've affected them a little, I don't know.

Despite your excellent marking of the faults, it still took me 8 hours before I fully noticed the actual problem. A bit slow in the head today I guess. It was most likely me adjusting red down a little too much which caused it.

That is the exact feeling, yes. Don't look back too much and set fire to those bridges once crossed :P

A less patchy version is being pngout'ed this very moment. This takes too long on my machine but I prefer running it through there over not doing it at all.
