No, just having a yellow in hair ornament doesn't encompass enough of her to cause the association. I was playing Blue Archive at the time she was first introduced, so I remember her exaggerated samurai speak ~de gozaru (through the event without ever hoping to gacha her or any other 3 star character in particular). No parallels to Haruhi whatsoever.

She's more reminiscent of the Dog Days' Yukikaze.
