I see some problems with the lineart, but omg such a wonderful picture with wonderful details.
The coloring is gentle and beautiful, the background is gorgeous and the feeling it gives... It's fantastic...
You've done a good job and I know you can do even better. Keep practicing.
I hope someday I can post my stuff here too.
But before that happens, I need to improve a lot.

The lineart was by far the worst part. I should have used clipping masks while each layer was painted. I caused a lot of aliasing and cut off pixels while still getting used to sai's layer structure. I can assure new works would be much smoother.

Oh, I see... Using masks and such is really complicated. You must have good skills.
I'm sure that SAI will help you a lot on linearts and make your drawing easier and fun.
Hope you'll like it. And I can't wait to see what you've got next!!

Doesn't look anything like the fan art people usually post from their dA. If you hadn't said I wouldn't have bothered to look for anything like the slight line faults here and there.

..btw, are you interested in the knowledge of the deformation of the human body related to anime drawings? even I can't draw like you, I may give some advice with my knowledge from many books of howto draw. (I may scan them some day ) σ(ﾟｰ^*)

Seems we can make a topic about the quality of proportions not only the quality of image formats on the forum.

but before making it, I'd write one thing now.
when deformate the human body from the real form into the anime like (childish) form, the ends of branches isn't shortened. that means not only the head, also the hands, and the foots remain bigger comparing to the whole body, especially fingers.

Often, most time is spent coloring. it takes a lot longer, so overall I get much less practice with drawing.

Speaking from the point of a non artist..... what faults? That's awesome. I saved that one. I hope you continue your work, I'd really like to see more of it.
