That's due to they accidentally changed the mode to "parent post", and tried to open posts. Super common problem here, it even tricked some veterans before.

I've suggested before to make change in the backend to remove the possibility of "self-parent", so at least the history will be much cleaner. But still, they can accidently ruin other legitimate parenting.

So it's a slight bug. I see.

Adding a post ID check would make sense to fix the issue; anything that helps tidy up the history is always a plus.
