I have one or two of those....when I try to scan them usually the scanner is hot enough to make them disappear...

You'd probably have to get them hot first and then scan them fast enough that they don't have the chance to cool off. But that's probably rather tricky. Or maybe you could put a white sheet on top of them which is the size of the scanner (and therefore takes the place of the white scanner lid) and put a heating pad on top of the white sheet. That at least sounds like it would work. It is a bit of a tricky problem though.
