I can only think people with big legs and such like this image can do something like holding liquid like that.

I'd say that, generally speaking, if your legs are close enough together to prevent any from leaking, you're not going to have much room to hold anything. Naturally, a girl would have more room, but I suspect that the girl in the image here has legs that aren't shaped quite right in order to get that much room between her legs and yet prevent leaks. I suppose that if her legs were far enough apart that she used the floor as the bottom of her "bowl," it might work, but that would imply that she'd be able to push her knees close together and not have her thighs pressed together, which really wouldn't work. So, you could maybe sort of do it, but...

Well, enough of trying to push reality onto anime-style images. They often don't have much to do with reality anyway.

Once I read about technique called "Seaweed sake". It's kind of similar to what I see here.
