I think was what fairyren wanted to say was:

If you can, remove the page number in the pixiv URL, for example http://img19.pixiv.net/img/togetaitu/12436183_p1.jpg to http://img19.pixiv.net/img/togetaitu/12436183.jpg
In that way, the link would lead to the illustration page without affecting the artist finder.
It works fine but I think that is not so necessary, sure, it would help in the case that one is not registered in Pixiv.
iirc fireattack proposed changes in the way the sistem handles this kind of urls, so I'd better expect that.
