Indeed it is. Unfortunately, while the seam is better than the parent post, it's far more faded, making the parent far better in spite of its nasty seam (in my opinion at least).

(Er, the parent postdates that comment by about a year...)

It's the difference between color-adjusted scans and, well, completely unadjusted ones... He said that he didn't want to mess up the colors, but that's like saying you want good photographs, so you're not going to focus...

I'm afraid that I know more or less nothing about how to do quality scans. If I was going to scan in anything like this, I'd probably scan it a bunch of different ways and take whichever one looked best. Whatever the method used was, however, I'd have to say that the colors in the parent are definitely superior.
