and..no, gene caused colour blindness, say, red-green, will appear in both genders, if the given male had one such recessive gene in his X chromosome, or the female with both recessive genes in her X chromosomes. therefore males do have a greater chance of getting colour blindness.

about 14 years agoTo get a colour blind daughter, the father needs to be colour blind, and the mother must carry the colour blindness gene on at least one of her X chromosomes.
