I can't really understand why is less recognised this kind of works better than geometric things that anybody know what they're about.

Heh, this conversation is getting a little weird.

the point is that there is an enormous gap between what people call art, and what real art is.
the thing Osikaa showed us, is just geometry, the picture in top here is art.
as mona lisa is art, as the liberty statue is art, and geometry is not art, it is juste a few shapes.

Maybe is not an INSULT to them, but I think it's not the same a picture like this one, well-colored and all... and geometry. :I

its not just the geometry thing you shown, but a lot of some actual called "artist", that nearly throw paint buckets on walls and some others just say "oh my god, he is a genius!" rather than "this? art? he must be retarded..."

We make our own choice in the artwork that we enjoy, but be aware that we are swayed by other peoples opinions.

Modern art isn't eye-pleasing itself, it's just like an art movement that defends freedom of expression and proposes solutions to modern social problems, on very unusual and freaking ways.

I have to say modern art has its values, but I can't like it any better than... Pieces like these.
I think some people are distorting the true meaning of art in order to call attention for other issues.
I still prefer the traditional, detailed, the perfection that generates feelings and impressions on us. Where's the work of art on some random stripes in a wall?

Agreed, Syaondri, the picture looks like it has life. Doesn't it strike you with some sort of feeling?

If the level of "art" is measured by the pleasure a work generate, so the Black Eyed Peas or Shakira should be a greater artist than Shostakovitch or Bach ...
Then, a monochrome (a perfect one) could be harder to make than this work, even if it is not the reason why Malevitch is more considerated as art. His work is about the painting itself, not about the pleasure or the beauty. The questions he's approaching by this "geometry" make an echo to his times, with all the social, political context it is implying.
It is not sufficient to give an opinion on a book from which you read only the cover.
