To fix and rebuild lines and such I use tha patch tool, clone patch and smudge. Is that fine or are there easier ways?

I do simply the same, the worst part is aligning and correcting the color at the seems. The one i'm working on i scanned months ago and the color difference is rather annoying so i'll be rescanning.
