Do you think it would be worth dishing out a few hundred for a new scanner? I have an Epson Perfection 2580 Photo scanner and it's a few years old. Has scanner technology advanced much in the last few years that it would be worth it?

Humm... I wouldn't do it. Even with a semi decent scanner you can still get some high quality scans with a few default filtering unless you were looking for some really good quality images you wanted scan, then it would be better.

I was thinking of looking for a larger format scanner for some of the larger size books I have and posters. But I'm hesitant to take the plunge.
