That's why everyone likes Dante: he is a relaxed, carefree character. I don't want a Twilight char in my DMC games.

Also, the "half-angel, half-demon" thing is not just lame and stupid, but it contradicts itself with the story of the original DMC games.

Wait for the game, and play it carefully. The we'll see if it was worth the pain, but since he is NOW angel-demon, that sounds a little interesting, but I should say this: I really miss the white hair!

I am betting:

1.- Game will be canned because most of the DMC fanbase doesn't like this.
2.- Game will be canned because the dev is a piece of shit who can't even make this game run smoothly (last time I read, game will probably run at 30fps, and since it's Unreal Engine, who knows if game will be graphically "stable").
3.- Game will be released, no one will like it because it will be something completely different to what DMC represents (gameplay wise) and it'll fail.

Everytime Capcom lends one of their properties to an american company, it ALWAYS equals to failure or piece of crap. I.e.: Bionic Command.

Donte doesn't really work for me...

well, i don´t care about the gameplay since i´m not playing it, but i still think this Dante is 100% better than the ol´ conceited one.

Seeing just how different the people opinion works for this game, I think I'll just play it for the morb of saying: and you know what? He was not really Dante but a twin-lost clon of the original one. . .or something along those lines

Devil May Cry always was "button mashing friendly" I don't know what are you complaining here, actually you don't need any skills to play any of the Devil May Cry games.

Obviously has never played Enslaved on an Xbox 360, which f.y.i. was far more conceptually sound than most anything Capcom has ever done.

That all aside, this is a great piece of promo art and this younger-looking design is far more suited to the immature mentality of Dante.

Mashing for free in harder difficult levels = you're dead (except DMC2 but only bcause that game is horrible).

yeah i'm light way with Kyoshiro on this one Dante's ignorance was his charm and his white hair was his look. the Twilight hair needs to go, that's rubicon for many fans of the franchise right there. And the cockiness of Dante was his personality of immorality which, in any of his plots you've seen in his games, masked that he had human emotions and inhibitions.

Dante isn't immoral.

He just takes everything... too lightly (but at the end, doing the right thing). Heck, even when everything's literally screwed up in DMC4, Dante's just all "... another day to save the earth lol"

i completly understand all your points, i played toooooo many times the dmc3, wich in my opinion is the best of the games, that i became a hardcore fan of the series, thank god, i dont have a play station 3 or xbox, so i will never fall into the temptation and buy the game.
