No, it's not a ban. Just restricting sales of specific goods to only adults. (A restriction only applicable in Tokyo no less.) Clearly these are not little girls, but space-faring androids bent on destruction. *ahem* pornography and it's glorious counterparts, hentai and such serves as an outlet for 'sick people', keeping them indoors ogling at pictures that appear as children, but are completely separate things. Keeping said people indoors, severely hampering any chances of them meeting any real children, much less have the gall to go *gasp* outside to commit these crimes. Loli drawn by someone in their home is loli unharmed. However, real children in *shudders* 'cp' are harmed as a result of these twisted videos/pictures and these people should be getting the brunt of your happy 'I hate all of you' hammer, as well as the boot of the law. Not us. We don't deserve to be belittled and scorned for something we don't do or wish to do for that matter. Instead of arguing for our sake, just don't look at it and block it in your profile options, because there are a hell of a lot more worse pictures than this, and I would hate for your head to explode in anger.

I disagree with the catharsis argument. I also like loli because it's cute and artistic. The original argument for breaking freedom of expression to ban child porn is children are abused in the process of making it, therefore demand for child porn creates a market where more children are abused to fill the the demand, drawings from an artists imagination does not do that create such a demand because children are not abused in the process of making it. Also, 2D lolis are often depicted very differently from their real life counterparts, therefore 2D lolis and real children are not the same.
