Aside from the obvious differences between this and post #22817 (the other is overly processed, and then overly JPEGd)--there's an eye highlight in the other one that's just not in this one. It doesn't look like a scanning glitch (it's in both eyes). Weird.

I guess it could be due to the heavy-handed processing?

Overprocessing removes highlights, it usually doesn't add them...

I would have said it did, but you noticed the highlights are in both eyes. Perhaps the scanner tried to 'improve' the scan? Probably never know.

Anyone with the magazine could find out.
