Must be lines from the paper used to sketch. Probably forgot to erase or hide them.

Um...I don't think so.

The lines are perfectly vertical, which is not a sign of scanning. And those lines do not appear in a 8x8 block if the color is so uniform.

Those lines are disappointing and so is the mysterious mechanism causing them.
