If it weren't for the page number on the bottom, I'd have thought that the image was corrupted with how it cuts off like that.

It's a decent artbook. Kinda hated to buy his 2nd artbook "Est" to just have a lot of reused illustrations.Only thing new was the Myself, Yourself illustrations. One of my favorite artist so I didn't mind too much.

thats a very odd place for a bar, perhaps they had some problems in the printing or in the file and they just had to improvise
Sometimes illustrators do that to cover up past mistakes. ex. Anatomy Errors or bad drawings of the anatomy.

Well, I'd think that to make it a good example would require having the original image to compare it to so that we could see what mistake was covered up. But covering up such a mistake would explain the odd bar. Too bad they didn't just fix the mistake.
