Because styles used for certain media don't transition well to other media. (In this case, manga sketching style to anime cell shading style)

Or rather, simply because artists want to stick to their own style really.

Still they used the original design in the first season. And it looked nice.

Still better then those plate big nipples.

I beg to differ. This is a huge improvement over the lackluster character designs and poor animation used in the previous season.

Is the 2nd season even out yet? Because Imo you shouldn't be judging it by Nyantype poster illusts, which tend to be far different in quality from their actual animes.

I do not talking about body sizes and that. I talk that they changed from the original to this (for me ugly) version. Never did talked about animation or anything. Simply the character design is annoying for me to see.

Who said I was judging it based solely on the Nyantype illustration? The preview for Maken Ki! Two has been out for weeks. You shouldn't make blind assumptions when it comes to reasons why the character designs were changed and why my opinion is the way it is.

Did anyone say anything about your opinions or why the changes happened?

You specifically said that "certain media don't transition well to other media" in response to why the art was changed which is a blind assumption. I can make the same assertion by saying that "the original was crap so it was changed" which has about as much validity as what you said.

With regards to my opinion, I made the statement so the same blind assumptions were not made in response to my original comment.

He was asking why they couldn't copy the original style, so I stated my opinion on that. It's simply rare and difficult for an anime studio to be able copy a manga's style. I can't see why you're so worked up about it.

I apologize. I don't mean to sound antagonistic if that's the way it's coming across. You're opinion came of as rather "matter of fact" when there are a tons of reasons one could speculate as to why the style was changed. That's merely what I was getting at.

I made a quick comparison and it seems rather obvious to me that the new style is a huge improvement for the series.

No it isn't. Please don't look only at the face.
Look for the nipples for example. They are plate big now. Sure, they are big breasted sometimes, but never had such large nipples. Also the way the hips is way to different and just doesn't look like the manga.

I feel like, the art, is kinda to make them more fat on the lag area also change their nipple size.
If I really want to be strict, her chin the 2nd season is too charp as well.

Just I said, just stick with the Manga version. The Manga version is not that surreal to animate.
