Not being from Japan, I can only admire the idea of over-24:00 time stamps in the airing schedule.
July 20, 29:30 might be an overkill, but July 14, 24:30 is much better than having to guess where a 00:30 points on the calendar. Old-school TV channels wouldn't broadcast 24 hours a day, and in printed schedules, the day would roll over with wee hours broadcast pause rather than at midnight, so a 00:30 in the schedule of Jujy 20 would actually mean 00:30 of the following day, but only if you're sure that it refers to such scheduling convention.

The "26:30" and "27:00" are also overkill too IMHO, as the sun has probably risen already by the time (during summer).
It makes sense if you think of it as a 24-hour version of the "broadcast day" which usually starts around 5 am (or 6 am for the AT-X network) and ends there.

Japan is the only country I know that uses that system. It's weird, but I guess it works for them.

Some years ago (probably in the 2000’s), I remember having seen a French TV schedule magazines doing the same: some programs were scheduled to air at 25:×× (because of that 6:00 to 29:59 timestamp). Quite strange when no clock can display anything else than 0:00 to 23:59…
