Alphonse drew Shingeki no Kyojin fanart. Holy. Fuck.
How else would you get hits on Pixiv without drawing whatever garbage is trending?

Comment is logical.
Art is still excellent.

you make """""""original""""""" illustrations, duh
Excuse me, I don't think Shingeki no Kyojin is garbage.

However, I agree with your statement. I don't understand why this happens, because good art to me is good art no matter the characters depicted.
(of course, seeing good fanart is really exciting. It's a beautiful and honoring way to refer to various series. A very rich opportunity to explore what series do and don't explore)

Doing it for the sake of getting views, and not for love, must be really disappointing. I hope artists didn't need to do that.

Have you ever thought that maybe the artist likes a certain series, and decides to draw it?
Sometimes the urge of money is unavoidable.
money...and ..popularity.....?
I myself draw whatever I want, because drawing for popularity is like... Selling your art and your time... It's not exactly wrong, but it's not the kind of thing I would do. I guess it's one's choice...

But yes, I agree with denkochan, there are cases when you simply like a certain series that is making success... It's not that hard, considering that famous series have more showcase.

I think that whoever chooses to be an artist as a professional living isn't that fond of money looool (well at least in my country get ready to be poor and little recognized)
