from what I read, it was due to a minor glitch in the system while he was creating his avatar. So his appearance became feminine due to the glitch. He didn't choose it

I've read similar and know that he didn't choose it, but regardless of the in-story reason as to why he ended up with that avatar, I still find it disturbing. But then again, there's a reason that I blacklisted the trap tag. :) I'm not sure that he counts as a trap, but he's close.

I'm still looking forward to the new anime though, as I really liked the first season. Hopefully, his avatar doesn't ruin it for me.
