I'm looking at this picture from every possible angle and I cannot tell why its marked as an anthropomorphization. Furthermore, I keep seeing pictures of very obviously human girls with no ship parts or animal parts hanging off them marked as this too; so either I'm missing something or, to quote Inigo Montoya, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

From the wiki anthropomorphization:
When a non-human character or an object is made human.
So it's already considered as "anthropomorphization" when the subject of an image is a human/humanoid instead of the ship itself. The parts you mentioned are just "accessories" (i.e. optional).

P.S. What the word actually means may not always equal to how the tag should be used.
I 100% agree with snip3rm00n and have debated this with various mods here for at least a year. It's stupid that these are marked as anthropomorphization when the picture shows absolutely zero evidence of it. The point of tags are to describe what is physically evident in the picture. Otherwise why not add tags like "tsundere" or "virgin"? For that matter all of these images should have the "nipples" tag since all the girls (and guys too) have them. If these tags aren't added because you can't SEE them in the picture, then the anthropomorphization tag shouldn't be haphazardly added to these images either. At the moment, anthropormorphization is just being used synonymously with kantai collection. Anyone wanting to do a search for an "anthropomorphization" image isn't going to want to find an image like this one, and anyone specifically wanting to find an image with these specific girls can just search for "kantai collection".
It can't be always said that Kancolle is anthropomorphization. Anthropomorphization must contain elements of the model.
Oh my. Guess I wasn't the only one that was thinking how to use the anthropomorphization tag.
I just kept silent about it.

Eh...

I'll just move on...
If you guys are ready and willing to start manually clearing the arguably misused tag "anthropomorphization" from the +3k pictures that have the tag mostly used in tandem with "kantai collection" without actual visual content linking to it, be my guest; you'll have my support. ;D
It's quite funny you said that. I had done something like that long ago for Touhou and Da Capo. I had a purpose in going from the very last page all the way to the first. I was looking for certain images for both series. Da Capo was the easiest. Touhou was the hardest. As of now, that series (Touhou) has way more images than my long search long ago.

It was fun for Da Capo. I even did the same for Minitokyo and its sister.
You have to have a purpose to do some "correcting" for what you like, love. Otherwise you'll lose your purpose and just get bored of it.
Personally I agree anthropomorphization tag for Kancolle is not necessary. Need other mods' opinions.

I'm in favor of removing the anthropomorphization tags from kantai_collection images as well. It's definitely implied as you cannot have kantai collection without having anthropomorphization. Not only that, but it isn't always applied consistently.
I actually tried to remove anthropomorphization from various images in the past that showed no signs of it. Unfortunately a mod simply added them all back again. When I tried to make this same argument back then, they just ignored me. I would gladly spend some time each day going through and remove them all again (from the appropriate images of course), if they're willing to let it go this time.
Well, the whole tag is unnecessary. Who's ever going to search images by that tag? Nobody. Who cares about that tag? Nobody. Who even knows how to pronounce anthropomorphization or even tried it once? (almost) Nobody. Besides it's tldr
Yes, I see it pointless as it is their nature. I'll take care of newly unnecessary tags by the next week.
