The first three were written by him, but directed by Shangri-La's Makoto Bessho (Eps. 1-2) and Makoto Katou (Ep. 3), who directed A/Z's OP and EDs.
As for the second season, I *sure* hope they are going somewhere interesting after that first ep. A lot of new ground forged by the first season's finale was scorched to make way for what they are doing now. That won't be for naught, right?
