Cleared up with Waifu. The hard setting did wonders keeping the lines.

First off does this mean image cleared up by Waifu (removal of jpeg-artifact) are allowed on here?

I think that's the same as using any other image editing software to do the same job. It's the upscaling part that's not permitted here.

I was going to delete the original post. Tried with waifu and since it was good, replaced it.

Yeah, there is no reason to not allow a great tool to merely remove jpeg..

That said, please only use it with images with heavy jpeg artifacts, otherwise just upload the originals.
