Windows 7 only has microsoft's support for 5 more years so you'll have to upgrade eventually. The twins or her, your pick.

but i still recommend windows 10

Simply install "Bash on Ubuntu on Windows" in Win 10 so that you can have (almost) both worlds at the same time :D

P.S. Yes, It's an official collaboration (instead of some random project run by some random guy), just still at beta stage.
