That, and if you remove the plastic, you end up ripping the paper underneath, so you can't get a clean shot of the image even if you want to. So, there's no point in them trying to remove the plastic. They might as well leave their case as is, be grateful that they got cool pictures on their case and be mildly sad that they can't post a version without the plastic.
In any case, I'm glad that I'll finally be getting a copy of this. Funimation released it less than a week ago.
