I could write an entire essay on how the interplay of the soft yet brilliant light and the soft atmosphere mesh perfectly with the twilight appearance given by the contrast of the bright light and the overall pallet of blue hues. But I believe that sentence gives a rough outline of the artistry displayed in this gorgeous picture. The whole thing just feels very otherworldly and also to be at the edge of a gateway between perhaps this world, or another world, and another beyond the open gateway, that is radiating the brilliant light from behind the girl. The girl's elaborate dress and fragile appearance blend perfectly into the intricate décor of the gate and also align well with the surrounding plants and petals flying through the air in its foreground. And everything works to lead your eyes right to her, even starting on the other end. The viewer's natural impulse is to follow the pathway to see where it lead, and it leads straight to her and the mystery she stands sentinel blocking the way of the viewer from entering. Overall, a very elaborate and very beautiful piece of exquisite artwork.
