While this doesn't directly feature any works of the artists it lists, would it be unreasonable to add the listed artists to the tags? If it is something worth doing, can that also be applied to the other index pages that do feature both artists and samples of their works?

why? Just search the artist's tag, and you can find the image directly, and then find the pool. Why tag the index page

I was just thinking that as it is an index page it'd be convenient that it was tagged as to link to the works of the artists it lists (particularly those whose names I can't read and consequently can't search).

As you say, though, I can just find out from the artist's tag for those I can read and the pool for those I can't.
