over 7 years agoThis is my proceed version, https://u.nya.is/qvrimm.png , not only the color is adjusted, but with other fixes: noise, texture...
I know that. But this is not based on 394619, and there're still noise on dark area of it (the dress).
BTW: Why 393266, 393260, 393265 are also deleted? They are actually fixed version of their textured parent image. I've no idea how it could be a "Duplicate" issue...

over 7 years agoIt's totally understandable that people want to perfect their collections, but such subtle fix, if allowed, will flood the site pretty badly. It's better to keep them to yourself. As soon as raw is there, people can do it by themselves without putting in too much effort. That's also why we don't allow cropped images here, despite they do look better without borders.
For posts like post #393260 (which I undeleted for the sake of discussion), particularly, it's overfiltered. You can see the text at the bottom is almost unrecognizable. That's another problem about those fix: they're "cleaner", sure, but are they really better than the original?
Twinsenzw covered the controversy around color adjustment, which is yet another concern.

over 7 years agoAbout #393260, my bad for not have restricted de-noise filter area.
In general, obvious screening, spot, and other physical issues are fixable. Color balancing should refer to artist's own style.
Is that right?
About the "good enough", I think everyone would like to get a good enough version for their self. While some will consider others are not only going for good enough but perfection. As a result, it leads to flooding. I agree with that there should not be a lot of subtle revisions. But people have own standards. For me, I'm new to uploading posts, and I know duplication is not nice. But I think an existing post really should have a better revision, then I edit it for a whole afternoon to produce a revision, and quickly get deleted. Both side are not happy.
The boundary between good enough and not enough is hard to specify. And for the news like me, there are only several wiki pages to reference. Whether a post is acceptable is not very clear. And deletion is consuming post ids, which will result in many invalid ids. So I'm wondering is there a place for pending posts for review, or an IM group for discussion?
I noticed there's a QQ group at https://yande.re/forum/show/10136 . But I haven't use QQ for years. I'd like a telegram (https://telegram.org/) group, how do you think about that?
BTW, it seems like Chinese is ok for conversation?
